3:0 at the break and the half-time talk was about keeping the focus, and keeping a clean sheet. We started the second half well, with three goals in quick succession. First it was Aad who supplied a sumptuous cross for Urs to head home at the far post. Then it was Micha, who found the back of the net, again set up by Aad. And then it was Kris K who headed against the post from a corner, but then headed home the rebound. 6:0 at the last water break. The challenge given by the coach was to keep a clean sheet. We did that, but only because Chong Hwa missed two absolute sitters.
A good performance all around, but admittedly against the weakest opponent we have faced this year. But as they say: you have to win each game first, and that’s what the team did today.
Next game Saturday 16 November 3 pm at Dempsey against British Club.
MoM: Chris Ang (who had to go off early to get his eye fixed, but good news, he did not require stitches and should be back for the next game)
