With confidence high, the German All Stars dominated possession and controlled the tempo of the first half. However, SNL FC capitalized on a rare chance in the 22nd minute, equalizing against the run of play. Despite continued pressure from the German side, the first half ended 1-1, leaving the game finely balanced.
The second half, however, took a different turn. SNL FC grabbed a fortunate goal from a free kick in the 50th minute, but the German All Stars responded almost immediately with a stunning long-range strike from Julian in the 53rd minute to level the score at 2-2.
Unfortunately, luck was not on the German side, as SNL FC quickly regained the lead just two minutes later with a scrappy goal that should have never happened. The turning point came in the 65th minute when the referee, who was clearly having an off day, awarded SNL FC a questionable penalty, which they converted to make it 2-4.
As the Germans pushed forward in search of a comeback, fatigue and the relentless heat took their toll. A counterattack forced a brilliant and cunning tactical foul from Sebastian just outside the box—an act of defensive genius that somehow went unpunished. However, SNL FC still managed to convert the free kick, extending their lead to 2-5.
The final blow came late in the game as the Germans, drained from the oppressive conditions, conceded one last counterattack goal, ending the match with a harsh 2-6 defeat. The German All Stars left the pitch not just with a loss but also with sunburns, knowing they had played well but had been undone by bad luck, a dubious referee, and the brutal Singapore heat.
